Time: Check-in at warehouse at 7:00am. We will load materials and then drive to the site. Site info is given the day of the event. It will be in the DFW metro. Most ramps take 3-6 hours, but the group stays until the job is finished. If you need to leave early, then please let our Trinity North District leadership know when you RSVP, and let TRP leadership know on the day of the event.

Who is Texas Ramp Project?: Mission Statement- “The Texas Ramp Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free wheelchair ramps to low-income older adults and people with disabilities identified by local health care providers. Ramps are built exclusively with volunteer labor, keeping costs to a minimum. Ramps are built without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, age or gender” About Us - The Texas Ramp Project (texasramps.org).

Our job: We will be helping build a wheelchair ramp. Job duties will be adjusted to skill level, comfort with tools, and physical ability. Are physical ability levels are needed!

What you need to bring: TRP provides tool and materials, as well as contractors with construction experience. Bring an impact driver or cordless drill, if you have one. Necessities include close-toed shoes, work gloves, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, and plenty of water. Additional volunteer info is at Dallas Region - The Texas Ramp Project (texasramps.org).
