Ethics Under the Microscope

Course Description: A data-driven Texas OT ethics session covering license renewal, billing under productivity pressure, supervision, and responding to unethical requests, grounded in the AOTA 2025 Code of Ethics and two years of TBOTE disciplinary data.

Learner Objectives:

1. Recognize common pitfalls in the Texas OT license renewal process, grounded in two years of actual TBOTE disciplinary data.
2. Apply AOTA Code of Ethics standards on documentation, billing, and supervision to real decisions made under productivity and staffing pressure.
3. Develop a personal script and decision-making process for responding when asked to do something unethical.
