Learner Objectives: 1) Learners will be able to identify 3 types of cancer treatments. 2) Learners will be able to describe 5 side effects of cancer treatments. 3) Learners will be able to express the role of OT in oncology rehabilitation. 4) Learners will be able to explain at least 2 ways to modify treatment plans to address the specific needs of oncology patients.
Short Abstract: This course discusses OT’s role in oncology rehab and throughout phases of cancer survivorship. It reviews the scope of cancer survivors, the functional impact of cancer on patients, and case studies within various oncology rehab/ treatment settings.
