Short Abstract:  Improve knowledge of hospice qualification for adults living with terminal illness from an interdisciplinary team approach

Outline of Program Content: This course will provide clinicians with tools to use within the adult hospice setting. The speaker will educate on the multidisciplinary team approach and how OT can the needs of the patient in conjunction with working as a team.

Learner Objectives:
1.Demonstrate knowledge of hospice qualifications for adults living with terminal illness.2. Demonstrate understanding of the role of the interdisciplinary team in promoting quality of life for patients receiving hospice services.3. Identify at least 2 ways an occupational therapist may address physical needs of a patient receiving hospice services.4. Identify activities that may address the psychosocial needs of a patient receiving hospice services.
