DESCRIPTION: 

Occupational therapy personnel need to understand how to properly assist with positioning COVID patients, both on ventilators or not, for the safety and management of their patients.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
Identify the relevance of the prone position with COVID patients
List three physiological or hemodynamic benefits of the prone position
Compare and contrast the Implications of proning a vented and non-vented patient
Describe the role of occupational therapy in proning
The steps to take and order of the steps to conduct the proning process
