Fostering occupational justice begins with self-examination. This free, live webinar offers a space for education, reflection, and introspection to identify opportunities for personal change. We will begin the internal work toward anti-racism as individuals to ultimately contribute to transforming the culture within the field of occupational therapy.

Facilitated by:

Victoria Garcia Wilburn, DHSc, OTR, CLT: Examine occupational therapy's history in relation to systemic racism
Sally Wasmuth,PhD, OTR : Hear excerpts from the play “Same Blood: Stories of Inequity from Black Women” and explore steps to becoming a better ally by recognizing and                                                        countering instances of racial discrimination
Mitzi Wilson: Support the group in understanding the pressing need for anti-racism/anti-oppression as practice. Provide space for reflection on the impact of systemic racism on                             the field of occupational therapy.
