Membership Information The total membership in TOTA  stands at approximately 1400, which includes, occupational therapists (OTs), occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), students (MOTS, OTS, OTAS), and a number of organizational members. Membership may be acquired at anytime during the year. The membership year begins when a member joins and ends the day before the one-year anniversary of joining. The cost for a one-year membership is as follows: Annual Membership Occupational Therapist $120 Occupational Therapy Assistant $95 Student $30 Two- and three-year memberships are available for professional members at discounted rates. They receive a discount on registration for full conference at TOTA's annual Mountain Central Conference and on continuing education offerings throughout the year. Students can not be Gold Seal Members. Special Projects Mountain Central Conference Registration Exam Review Courses for Student Members TOTA offers several courses each year prior to the exam periods offered by NBCOT. Each district maintains its own list of special events and projects. Legislative Information TOTA employs a legislative representative and an OT lobbyist to keep its membership apprised of developments in the Texas Legislature which affect the occupational therapy profession. Relevant information is reported to members in the TOTA newsletter, Revista OT, and online via the legislative area of the web site. Additionally, we host an e-mail tree to notify our members of significant developments during the legislative session and beyond.
